Our theme, "Green STEAM, " focuses on highlighting majors and careers in the green economy of the future, and we are excited to have partners such as Boeing, Apple, Lego, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and more providing engaging activities. There will be a raffle, activities and great food from Compton!In addition, every Compton Unified School will have a booth and compete for the "Greenest" Booth award by showcasing an innovative environmental ideas. And don't forget to check out the Cuisine of Compton, where local restaurants will provide delicious samples of their food for you to enjoy. Message Regarding Recent Tragedy in TexasDear Compton Unified School District Community, We are heartbroken. The recent mass shootings and yesterday’s tragedy at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX are devastating. We are deeply grieving alongside the Robb Elementary families and extend our condolences to all who were impacted as well as acknowledge the fact that such tragic events sadden us all. Such tragedies can surface fears about safety. We know events like these can impact the physical and mental well-being of our students, staff, and families. We encourage you to connect with your friends and family and support each other and seek help as it is needed. We want to assure you that Compton Unified School District is committed to the safety of our schools and well-being of our community. COVID UPDATE: MASK PROTOCOLSDear Compton Unified School District Community: Today, the Compton Unified School District received formal guidance from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health regarding masks and other COVID-19 related protocols. Effective Monday, March 14, masks will be strongly recommended but not required indoors. Masks are not required outdoors. This aligns with guidance from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and California State Governor, Gavin Newsom. We are in the process of working with local and state agencies to update our other COVID-19 guidelines. We will share those out as soon as they are finalized. Thank you for your support.
